Born on 30th August 1970 in Calabar to Chief Ekeng Effanga Effanga Ekeng-Iwatt, .
He trained, worked, and lived in Kaduna and Lagos States as computer programming and system Analyst. Returned to Calabar to work at the polytechnic Calabar as a program assistant resigned in 1996 to join politics. In 1997 he became the first elected Ward 5 Councillor of then newly created Calabar South Local Government. Got married in the year 2000 to Elizabeth Essessien Essien.
Etubom Effanga Emmanuel in 2007 presented him to the Henshaw Town council as a councilor to Etiyin Ekeng _Iwatt Family next to Chief Ekeng Ekpo Daniel Henshaw, who later became the etubom elect. Etubom Offion Effanga, Worked hard with members of Ekeng-Iwatt family as the head of the Effanga Effanga (roberth Henshw) after the death of his uncle HH Chief Nta Effanga Henshaw. He was election to be the Etubom Elect of Etiying Ekeng-Iwatt Royal House by the heads of the families in Ekeng Iwatt

He was born on
the 11th of November 1947 into the family of late Elder Chief Eking
Nyong Effaga Ekeng-Iwatt (Ekeng Daniel Henshaw) and late sqt (princess) Ebitam
Ekeng Daniel Henshaw both of Ekeng _Iwatt Royal House

Ekeng Started his educational pursuit in Henshaw town primary school but later
completed it at the Duke town primary school to get his first school leaving
certificate in 1974.
He later obtain the general Certificate of Education in the
year 1980 after which he furthered into the study of stenography and accountancy
as well as a certificate in computer analysis

as a peaceful man, although the oldest living son of Etiyin Nyong Effaga, waited
patiently to be recognized as the head of Ekeng-iwatt family all through the period after the death of Chief Ete Ekeng (Electrician), his last uncle. It
did not happen until the tussle for who is to be the next Etubom after the Late Etubom elect Ekeng Ekpo Daniel
Henshaw in 2015, when the whole family of Ekeng-Owatt rose up to correct the
error that had being persistent in the family. After so many remarkable
incidence, during this period, Chief Magnus Ekeng was finally recognized as the oldest living son
of Etiyin Nyong Effanga from the Daniel Henshaw stalk, along with Prince Effanga Ekeng Ewa Henshaw ( head of Joseph Henshaw) and Chief Offiong Effanga, (head of Roberth Henshaw) who later became the Etubom
Elect in council. Present also at the event was prince Essien Ene Effiom, ( head Ekanem Ekeng-Iwatt )
He later that year in October 2020 was
sworn in to the Henshaw town council as Mkpisong Obio Nsidung, one of the councilor’s
representing Etiyin Ekeng-Iwatt royal house
Ansa Ekpo Daniel Henshaw was born in July 1972 into the family of Late chief Ekpo Nyoung Effanga Ekeng Iwatt Ansa Effiom Ekpo in plateau state Jos. His Father was a minner in the northern region of Nigeria, domiciled in Jos. Ansa Ekpo came from a family of 11 children of which he is the last born.
Chief Ansa Ekpo worked in Port Harcourt, Lagos as a system administrator, While in Lagos Ansa Ekpo trained and worked installing VSAT broadband networks around the south western state.
In Port Harcourt as a database/network administrator for a consulting firm, developing medical software and managing medical data for cooperate bodies He is married to Funke Blessing Henshaw

He Worked in Jos as a Tin Minner and was host to Calabar Improvement Union, a socio- Cultural group that included Efiks and Ibibios when the tribes were still in one state.
He was on the verge of Retiring and returning home to Calabar when he had a brief illness and died. (WAS favored then to be the next Etubom Etiyin Ekeng Iwatt )
